Chapter 1 - on the eternal truth which is always changing
The way that can be considered as the way
must not be the eternal way.
The name that can be considered as the name
must not be the eternal Name.
The name, which we can consider as nothing and which has no determinate form, is the eternally real origin or principle of all the universal.
The name, which has determinate form, is the mother of all particular things.
Therefore,
Free from desire to restrict the truth with the name, you realize the secret.
If caught in the desire to do it, you see only the manifestation or appearance the real truth.
Both the secret and the manifestation arise from the same source, while both have different names. Their only one source is called mystery.
Accordingly, It is mysteries upon mystery.
It is the gateway of the manifold secrets.
